C.O.R.E. Improv Workout with Tim Paul
(C)haracter, (O)bjective, (R)elationship & (E)nvironment – these elements provide you with the framework to knock your scene out of the park. This workshop will pinpoint & tackle specific weaknesses & bad habits that surface in your scene work. Then you’ll move through specific challenges in later scenes that are geared towards your specific area of need. This class is scenic bootcamp – there’s no point focusing on the game of the scene, if there’s no real scene to begin with.
Date: April 21-10:00am-1:00pm
Rick & Laura Hall Advanced Musical Improv Workshop and Performance
Have you always wanted to improvise songs like we do on “Whose Line is it Anyway”?
If you're already an experienced improvisor, then the Advanced Workshop is for you, even if you haven't done song improv before. We'll work on song improv as a natural extension of your existing improv skills. We'll focus on creating a strong “who” and “where” for your songs, we'll look at musical form and structure, advanced harmonies and more. All in a positive setting where you can explore, stretch out of your comfort zone, and have fun.
The workshop includes a jam that same night to bring your skills to the stage.
Workshop: May 19, 3:00pm-6:00pm
Performance: May 19, 8:00pm

Out of Character with Gillian Bellinger
Out of Character- We all hear coaches, teachers and actors talk about character, but what does that mean? How does one build a character, become a character, stick to a character, what actually is a character? This 3 hour workshop will define what character means and add tools to your toolbox to create characters, sustain characters, and build scene "Out of Character". Taught by visiting teacher, Gillian Bellinger (Second City Hollywood faculty, I.O., Annoyance, and Westside Comedy).
