You’ll easily carry these universal foundational skills into your long or shortform improv, a love letter (or swordfight), and any renaissance role play thou couldst desire.

Teachers:
Camila began acting in community theater in 2004, got Improv-Indoctrinated in 2013, and was bitten by the Bard Bug  in 2018, donning her first doublet with Makeshift Shakespeare (Denver, CO). She continued her ShakesStudies with Synergy Theater and BATS, also founding and directing the online pandemic troupe and podcast Roundabout Shakespeare, with co-instructor Bela Evans plus players from ‘round the globe. She continues to happily share her lighthearted approach to Shakespeare in a high rep and immersive style, emphasizing: “Confidence, Character, Commitment, Enunciation!”

Bela first began improvising in the mid-1990s, and he has enjoyed studying and performing improv ever since. He currently performs online with six duo teams that perform on Highwire Improv or on Facebook or YouTube video posts. Bela has a love for all Shakespearean improv, and has taken Bard-inspired classes and intensives from Made Up Theatre, Bay Area Theatersports, Synergy Theater, and Impromptu Shakespeare (England). During the pandemic, he performed in online podcasts as a founding member of Roundabout Shakespeare; and he currently improvises 30-minute narrative plays each month online with his duo team Hooray For Yorick. Bela looks forward to sharing with others the fun, joy, emotion, and action of playing in the world of Shakespeare!
