Sketch Comedy Writing

Get your comedy scenes on the page with this Sketch Comedy Class!  All are welcome, from beginners to seasoned veterans!  No matter where you are in your writing journey, this class will take it to the next level! 

We will explore collaborative sketch comedy writing in a ‘writers room’ atmosphere and cover topics like developing compelling characters, structural fundamentals, heightening the game, and progressive iteration. The culmination of the series will involve producing your sketch with actors on video so you can share it!

The Instructor

Christian Roman has been writing and performing sketch comedy for over 30 years.  While his main career has been in animation, working in the story department of Pixar Animation Studios for 17 years and writing, directing and executive producing two series at Disney Television Animation, he has directed several sketch writing shows in Boston and Los Angeles, and co-ordinated an employee sketch writing group while at Pixar.  His approach to sketch comedy is collaboration and iteration.
